Hotel Beatus - Sundlauenen

The views were fine and the breakfast by the lake was a nice touch. It definitely exceeded my previous stay's expectations here in interlaken.

the wifi was only available in the lounge.

The hotel was incredibly beautiful and clean with nice views to the lake. The room was impeccably clean, had essentials, like a shower and hairdryers. The food provided was excellent! Stunning location and overall the staff was friendly. Also, the venue was placed 2 miles from touristic place like Skilift Boden Platter. Everything was simply excellent.

I greatly enjoyed the room, the bed was comfortable. Shower facilities and a hairdryer were very handy.

The balcony offered a fine view of the lake. The spacious room allowed for a comfortable stay, giving us some much-needed breathing room after a long day.

Rooms were cramped with poorly maintained facilities, particularly the mattress which sank uncomfortably. The towels were rough, reminding me of sandpaper, and the breakfast lacked variety, with just half an egg per person, a slice of cheese, and watered-down juice that ran out on the last morning. The lack of dining options and limited bus service made outings more difficult.

The hotel is located in a lovely area, yet 10min drive from the city of Interlaken. It didn't bother us because we had a car. We liked the lake view - very nice indeed. It gave us a feeling of being in the countryside.

Unfortunately even though charming from the outside, the hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. Not sure how old the interiors and furniture were but I would assume at least 30 years. The beds were noisy and felt like hammocks. Definitely too soft and too old to be used! Even though we booked a double room there were twin beds in the room (put together). Because of the 'hammock effect' we were forced to sleep in the middle of respective beds. One could hear all noises from the corridor and from floors above. The toilet was at the same floor but bathroom was 2 floors up - this was not very nice as we had to carry all things upstairs.

Mountain hikes from the hotel as a base in the general area is wonderful.

WiFi signal weak within rooms!!! Shower located inconveniently on another floor!!! Limited nearby options after 7pm can be frustrating!!!

Beautiful views from bedroom and dining room over lake and mountains. Spacious room and very clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and evening meal although expensive for British travellers but not by Swiss standards.

Nothing to dislike about this attractive, comfortable and welcoming hotel

I did like the view from the Hotel.

I asked for a triple room and the one given was cosy and warm. The location couldn't be more exceptionally nice and beautiful next to bus stop. Besides, it was close to the tourist areas in Interlacken, the lake and dock, and the upstairs restaurant...

Enjoyed the fine lake view from my room. The breakfast had great options and the hosts were cute and accommodating. The wifi was only available in the dining area was great.

A Hidden Gem with Amazing Views!

What a good stay we had! The comfortable twin room with a fine lake view provided the perfect backdrop for our romantic getaway. The culinary experience at dinner, especially during the Saturday night jazz party, was lovely. Pro tip, If using public transport, plan your timing for buses wisely!

The location near the lake and fine mountain views were standout features. Breakfast included a simple but delicious spread, and the comfort of the beds in the well-sized room was appreciated. The inconsistency in restaurant availability and the hard towels were disappointing. The limited Wi-Fi access only in common areas was inconvenient, especially since it came with high expectations for a relaxing getaway.
